The eSTART Coalition believes it is time to modernize automotive title and registration processes.
Today, we can do almost everything online simply, securely, and seamlessly. Yet, title and registration processes still run on paper, resulting in raising costs, slowing down service, and limiting choices and convenience for consumers.
WHO WE ARE
The coalition is a group of aligned stakeholders — welcoming to government, industry partners, associations, and others — fostering a belief in the value of shared conversations about modernizing title and registration processes across every state.
MISSION
Our mission is to save the auto industry and consumers valuable time and money by modernizing title and registration processes.
OBJECTIVES
We aim to modernize three key components of vehicle transactions:
- Electronic signatures on title and registration documents
- Electronic title and registration submission and processing
- Electronic vehicle record transfers
Extending beyond those three components, we aim to consider and support any measures taken to save time and money by modernizing the automotive processes to bring them into the 21st century.
