Mark Binder

Mark Binder is the Director of Government Affairs for Copart, Inc. and has been in his role since August 2018. Mark’s responsibilities include monitoring and becoming actively involved in legislative and regulatory activities that could have an impact on Copart and our industry partners. This includes oversight of all 50 states, at the federal level and even internationally.

Prior to Copart, Mark was with Farmers Insurance for 21 years with most of this time in the Auto Physical Damage line of business, specifically in Salvage Operations. Mark has 26 years’ experience in the salvage industry and has been active in proactive and defensive legislation since 2002.

Mark resides in Mustang, Oklahoma with his wife of 35 years, Kim. He has two sons, a daughter-in-law and a one-year-old grandson.
